About Me:: If you don't already know, S.C.*s Edge is the premier Hip-Hop group out of Brooklyn, NY. S.C.*s Edge (South Canarsie's Edge) is the formation of four formidable rappers; Che (Che Aroyewun), D.S. (Sele Birchwood), Cannon (Christian James) and Kid Canarsie (Ricardo Tam). Hailing from the south side of Canarsie, S.C.*s Edge was started when stepbrothers D.S. and Che started to write rhymes in their school notepads at the tender age of eight years old. They started to fantasize of creating Hip-Hop music and making it to the center stage.
After the untimely death of D.S.'s mother, D.S. moved back to Brooklyn, New York at the age of twelve with Che. At the age of 15 D.S. (stands for Divine Simplicity) and Che started talking to each other about taking the music that they only fantasized about and turning the dream into a reality. They decided for the idea and began the two man Group. They retained their childhood rap names, and so did S.C.*s Edge Begin.
In the first year of S.C.*s Edge's beginnings, recordings were done straight off of there personal computers. They taught themselves to mix music and how to use many different types of audio production programs. Soon after the start of S.C.*s Edge, Jamal Deslandes (Che's close and personal friend) decided he wanted to become the third man to the group. He Soon after stopped recording music and resigned his position in the group. During this time, D.S.'s cousin, Christian James (known by the stage name "Cannon") became interested in what the two co-founders of S.C.*s Edge were doing. He decided to record a track with D.S. and from there he became the fourth member of S.C.*s Edge.
After Jamal left the group, The group was left with three members. Cannon suggested that his own cousin, Ricardo Tam, join the group. Ricardo Tam was a Canarsie native who had recently moved to Atlanta and established himself amongst the underground ranks there. After the co-founders considered the situation, they admitted Ricardo Tam (Stage Name: "Kid Canarsie") into the S.C.*s Edge family.
Since then, S.C.*s Edge has made considerable strides in the music business, coming close to signing two different contracts in the almost two years that they have been making music professionally. They are on the verge of spinning the Hip-Hop World and making a name for themselves across the country.
